Flying Probe Test

Ideal for smaller batch sizes and where fixed test probe access is limited or impractical, flying probe testing offers a robust method of detecting and eliminating common electronics manufacturing defects without the need for dedicated fixturing.

Flying probe testing replaces the need for a mechanical test fixture interface by utilising a set of precision moveable test probes that directly access test points, vias, component pads, circuit interconnections and fine pitch parts to deliver levels of test coverage similar to in-circuit test. Initial test program creation direct from CAD files is fast, easy and reliable, avoids the need to develop a bed-of-nails test fixture, and can reduce total test development time from days to hours.

At JJS, our flying probe test resources permit easy inspection of any PCB assembly and are ideal for low and medium volume runs as well as high board mix prototype applications.
